Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LeadScout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. The Service is operated by STEPlus ("we", "us", or "our").
2. Description of Service
LeadScout is a lead intelligence platform: it discovers publicly available B2B leads from LinkedIn, Reddit, and X on your instruction, scores them against your ideal customer profile, and generates personalised message drafts. LeadScout does not send messages — you review, copy, and send from your own accounts.
3. User Accounts & Workspaces
You must create an account via our STEPlus Identity service to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Within a workspace, members act under roles (Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer); the workspace Owner is responsible for who is invited and what credentials are added.
4. Acceptable Use & Outreach Compliance
You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must:
- Comply with the terms of service of any platform you source from (LinkedIn, Reddit, X) when connecting your own credentials.
- Comply with applicable anti-spam and privacy laws (such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and PECR) when contacting leads. LeadScout prepares drafts; the decision to send — and legal responsibility for sending — is yours.
- Honour opt-outs: once a person is suppressed, do not attempt to contact them through other means.
- Not use the Service to harass, deceive, or discriminate, or for any unlawful purpose.
5. Bring-Your-Own Keys & Third-Party Costs
You may connect your own AI provider keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek) and source credentials (platform API apps or Apify tokens). Usage billed by those providers is charged to your accounts with them — LeadScout adds no fee, and is not responsible for third-party pricing, quotas, or availability. Keys are encrypted at rest and used only for your workspace's requests.
6. AI-Generated Content
Lead scores and message drafts are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing drafts before sending and for verifying any claims they make. Scores are decision support, not guarantees of fit or outcome.
7. Sourced Data
Lead data is collected from publicly available sources at the time of your search and may be outdated or incorrect. We make no warranty as to its accuracy or completeness. You must handle sourced data in accordance with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction.
8. Availability & Modifications
The Service is provided free of charge and on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to announce material changes in advance.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, remains the property of STEPlus. Content you create — ICP definitions, edited drafts, notes — remains yours. You grant us the licence necessary to store and process it in order to operate the Service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your workspaces at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse sourcing infrastructure, or create legal risk for the platform or the people it processes data about.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, STEPlus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including lost revenue, lost opportunities, platform account restrictions resulting from your outreach, or decisions made on the basis of AI-generated scores or drafts.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification.
